Experiential astrology is a gentle and powerful technique which accesses the client’s own innate healing and transformative energies – as such, it is a practice that has its own inbuilt healing and spiritual power.

It encourages clients to directly feel and experience (rather than intellectualise) the energy of their individual astrological chart and to communicate directly with their own unconscious as symbolized by their astrological symbols and signs.

 

The zodiac is placed on the floor and the planets laid out according to the client’s astrology chart.  The client then enters this sacred circle and embarks on a symbolic journey, guided by the practitioner and the client’s own interaction with the different symbols.  This process allows both the client and the practitioner to identify which parts require attention, reconnection, cleansing or healing. 

This can happen spontaneously within the client or with the assistance of specific techniques drawn from the practitioner’s experience in a wide range of therapeutic and spiritual systems. 

 

Experiential astrology is a powerful tool as it allows the client and practitioner to target specific issues, using astrological symbolism as a diagnostic tool in conjunction with therapeutic healing techniques. 

It differs from mainstream astrology because it is totally experiential, non-intellectually based and does not require any astrological understanding on the part of the client.  Any individual with an open receptive mind and the ability to feel can benefit from an experiential astrology session. 

 

The practitioner’s role is to listen to the clues provided by the client’s reactions and responses, tune into the appropriate healing technique and to provide a safe space for the client to go more deeply into their own process.  It requires subtle and intuitive awareness, knowledge and experience in energy healing and the ability to guide the natural healing energies of the unconscious.
